Product Details

The Biodrier Biolite Hand Dryer is a compact, stylish, high speed eco hand dryer that offers excellent value. The Biodrier Biolite offers a level of reliability, energy efficiency and performance matched by few hand dryers in this price bracket.

Is the Biodrier Biolite a High Speed Hand Dryer?

The Biodrier Biolite falls within the high speed category, it has a compressed airflow that travels at 64m/s. This is not as fast as some high speed hand dryers, but 2-3 times the airspeed of a conventional warm air hand dryer. Realistically the Biodrier Biolite has a sub 20 second dry times in normal conditions. If speed is your absolute priority the blade hand dryers offer the fastest dry times and in the hands under category the TurboForce and Dyson V are the real flyers!

Is the Biodrier Biolite an Energy Efficient Hand Dryer?

Energy consumption is dictated by the dry speed and rated power of a hand dryer. Normal warm air hand dryers typically use a low power (0.24-0.3kw) motor and a high consumption (1.8 to 2kw) heater element; they have a rated power over 2kw with 30 second plus dry times. The Biodrier Biolite has a high speed 0.65kw motor and a highly eco-friendly heater element (0.25kw), the combination leads to a pleasant drying experience and a 75 to 85% energy and cost reduction.

How Quiet is the Biodrier Biolite Hand Dryer?

The specification states 76 dBA based on noise chamber tests, which is relatively quiet for a high speed hand dryer. We have not tested this unit in a realistic environment, (with surfaces that amplify noise) but it is clear that the noise level is above 76 dBA in situ, having said that it is certainly quieter than many fast hand dryers.

RIBA Architect classification N13-472 hand driers/hand dryers
