This is a pretty cool, lightweight headlamp, perfect for close work, tight spaces, and all day wear. The Array 2S is a little bit brighter than the Array 2, but otherwise much the same. And despite having a number of different headlamps in the house, most household members reach for that one first for nighttime chores and such.
The headlamp's 4.6 oz weight is distributed between the front-facing lamp housing and rear-mounted battery pack for balance and comfort. The lamp tilts 60° to place the beam where you need it. You can control the lamp with a traditional push button on the right side of the housing, or by simply waving your hand in front of the light, which can be less of an interruption of a task that requires both hands. The adjustable, sweat proof elastic headband ensures a secure but comfortable fit.
